Dave joined the Office of Economic Development in October, 2004. Dave has been at the forefront in attracting national and international attention to Virginia Tech in his previous role as director of College and Media Relations. His efforts have generated national attention on Virginia Tech's groundbreaking work in advanced telecommunications and biotechnology.

Dave was elected to the Virginia House of Delegates in 2001 where he serves on the Science and Technology Committee; Health, Welfare and Institutions Committee; and Militia, Police and Public Safety Committee.
