LEARNING ABOUT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Learning is a critical part of Virginia Tech’s mission. The Office of Economic Development (OED) plays an active role in sharing “state of the art” knowledge about economic development to public and private sector decision makers, economic development practitioners, and students in degree and continuing education programs. Among the channels for learning are an electronic newsletter, policy forums, research showcases, and a working paper series for students. OED also offer continuing education courses for practitioners, and as adjunct faculty in several departments, courses involving degree students in economic development.
